A professional women's baseball league in Australia has been delayed due to the impact of Covid-19 but is still on the agenda.

 

In May, another step forward will be taken when beautiful Geelong hosts the 2022 Australian Women's Baseball Showcase with the support of the Victorian government. Seven games will take place over four days with Australia’s star women and rising female prospects to be split between the Adelaide Giants, Brisbane Bandits and Victoria Aces.

​

While the showcase is a key step towards a women's league, donations to A League of Her Own are exclusively set aside towards the launch of a professional league.

A dedicated women's baseball league will help grow the sport for female athletes by:

  • Creating a sustainable domestic league with international reach

  • Helping increase junior girls participation in baseball throughout Australia

DONOR RECOGNITION

We are seeking 1,000 (Foundation) donors at $250+ each in this inaugural once-only offering to support the creation of the new Women’s Australian Baseball League.

 

 
FOUNDATION DONORS - 1,000 AVAILABLE @ $250+ EACH

All Foundation Donors will be recognised by:

​

  • Your name permanently enshrined on the back of the new Women’s ABL trophy – your name is forever part of the establishment of this league. 

  • A digital print of the championship trophy highlighting your name. 

  • Permanent ongoing recognition of you being a Foundation Donor on a dedicated page of the Women’s ABL website

  • A certificate signed by the CEO of Baseball Australia showing your unique donor recognition number for your contribution.  

 

In all cases, your contribution and the expenditure of the funds will be fully transparent with regular reporting, treating donors like capital investors.

Foundation Donors who contribute more than $250 will be acknowledged via a personalised letter of thanks signed by the team captains as a keepsake to show our gratitude for your extra generosity.  We will publicly recognise the nine highest additional contributors to the league, creating an elite group of donors that will be known as the Starting Nine.

To show our appreciation, the Starting Nine contributors will be recognised by:
 

  1. VIP invitation to attend the historic first game and inaugural championship series to see first hand the impact of your contribution.

  2. On-field, public recognition during the opening ceremony of the historic first game.

  3. Inclusion on stage at the championship series award ceremony. 

  4. The ceremonial first pitch at the inaugural game OR championship series for the top two donors.
